What is Heikin-Ashi?
Heikin-Ashi is a unique type of candlestick. What makes it special is the way the bars are calculated. The idea behind this incredible charting method is trend, trend, and once again trend. Heikin Ashi is designed to allow the trader to get a better feel for the direction of the market and to identify trend directions and changes.

AAPL 30 Min Chart : It is easier to tell the direction and trend of AAPL stock on the lower chart (DIG Heikin Ahsi candles) relative to the upper chart containing regular candlestick bars.
What is the Heikin-Ashi Advanced?
Our traders loved the directionality and the ease of use of our standard Heikin Ashi, but hated that it affected the bar structure. Thus, we have kept all the good and gotten rid of all the bad.
The Heikin Ashi Advanced contains a switch so you can choose to use the standard or advanced version. When set to advanced, the bars will be colored according to the Heikin Ashi trends but the bar structure will not be affected. Therefore, you can see the real price movement and the Heikin Trend at the same time.
AAPL 30 Min Chart :On the top we have our DIG Heikin Ashi Advanced indicator set to regular mode, and on the bottom it is set to advanced mode. On the bottom, your real bar structure is maintained but the color and trend are still based on the standard Heikin Ashi and therefore clear and easy to read.
